Blink-182 have shown that their seventh studio album, "Neighborhoods" will be extremely varied LP, guitarist Tom DeLonge from even suggesting that it would be "prog rock" songs on the record.
Speaking to Jam Showbiz, the group stated that 'neighborhood', which is pop-punk trio the first since their 2003 self-titled album will contain some "insanely different, and the experimental" moments.

DeLonge said:
"There's a lot of new elements. We have these songs that are common references, it is something that people will know that Blink is. But then we have these songs that are incredibly different and experimental. And then we have songs like prog-rock Blink. So I do think we have a huge, diverse palette on this. What's really cool too because of how it was recorded, all the songs sound so different from each other ".
The guitarist also revealed that the trio enjoyed playing their early material again, speaking of this:
"It puts you at a time when you've just had so much grief, and you need to change something in my young adult life and teenage life, and this is the best thing about this group: It's like eternal youth."
Mark Hoppus also spoke about the reconnection of admitting that it was not an instantaneous thing, and it took time for the band to work up the courage to get back into the studio together.
He said how long it took the group to record again:
"It took a while to get to this point. Took in the first place, reconnecting as friends after saying no for about five years and then it took to get back into the studio and get back on the road. Once at the not actually worked together and even have been friends for several years, it took several months to pretend that this is how it works. "
The group will release a "neighborhood" on September 26, with its lead-off single "Up All Night" available now.
They tour the UK next summer, after pushing their dates a year to complete work on the album. They are currently touring North America with My Chemical Romance.
